How We Handle Your Details

What we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we collect: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, and any optional details you share (dog's name, dog's breed, allergies, delivery instructions).

Why we collect it

Only so we can fulfil your order — confirming details, arranging delivery, replying to your questions, and keeping basic records for tax and business purposes.

Where it's stored

Order details are stored privately in our website's secure database (Netlify Blobs, encrypted at rest by the platform). They are not shared with any third party, ever. We do not run advertising, analytics tracking, or marketing newsletters.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 7 years for Australian tax and business record obligations, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your details sooner — just email us (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Show you what we have about you (an "export")
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your details (we'll do this within 30 days)

Captcha

Our order page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify you're a human (so we don't get spammed). Turnstile is privacy-friendly and doesn't track you across the web. Cloudflare may collect minimal connection metadata to make this work.

Email delivery

When you order, our website emails the order details to Daniel via AgentMail (our transactional email provider). AgentMail only handles the email transit — it does not retain your details beyond delivery.

Small business note

The Golden Collie is a small Australian business (turnover well under A$3M), so the strict Australian Privacy Principles do not technically apply. We still try to follow them in spirit because it's the right thing to do.
